Hi, I'm Hang.
I build web applications.

I've worked as a software engineer for six years, mostly on frontend and full-stack development. I'm currently at Elekta, building software for radiation oncology workflows, and finishing my M.Sc. in Computer Science at Aalto University. Last autumn 2025, I studied on exchange at Singapore University of Technology and Design.

    Helsinki, Finland

    Elekta's mission is to improve access to cancer care in underserved countries, with a focus on radiation treatment.

    • Developed and maintained backend services and APIs in Python for a clinical oncology workflow product, integrating frontend and backend components.
    • Built and modernized frontend features in Angular (TypeScript, SCSS) with a focus on performance and accessibility, including i18n support for multiple languages.
    • Wrote automated tests across the stack: Python unit and integration tests for backend services, and end-to-end UI tests with Playwright.
    • Implemented automated UI testing with Playwright and behavior-driven backend testing with Behave, significantly improving test coverage and reliability.
    • Used AI coding assistants and agents in daily development, reviewing generated code for correctness, security and maintainability before merging.

    Haahtela is a Finnish construction company. The software I worked on was called TVD.

Chord Transposer

I learned to play the ukulele and the piano during my Bachelor's degree. I like singing so learning to play chords and singing along with the instrument was a fun start. One issue was that the chord transpose feature of Ultimate Guitar was behind a premium price. So I built a simple web app that transposes chords for free.
